A delicate vintage tabletop photo frame with bevelled glass, a gold-tone metal structure and an ornamental bow-shaped crest.

Its small proportions make it ideal for displaying a treasured portrait on a dressing table, bedside table or decorative shelf.

Description

The piece

This elegant vintage photo frame combines a narrow rectangular panel of bevelled glass with a delicate gold-tone metal structure.

An ornamental bow crowns the upper edge, while two small rounded feet support the frame at the front. The hinged easel stand at the back allows it to be displayed securely on a tabletop or shelf.

Its restrained decoration and slender proportions give it a refined vintage character without appearing excessively ornate.

The word DÉPOSÉ appears on the reverse, indicating that the design was registered.

Where it works best

Perfectly sized for a small portrait or sentimental photograph, this frame works beautifully on a dressing table, bedside table, writing desk or bookcase.

Its warm metal finish pairs particularly well with vintage perfume bottles, jewellery boxes and other traditional vanity accessories.

Good vintage condition, with light wear and tonal variation to the metal consistent with age and use.

The affected area is shown clearly in the photographs and has been taken into account in the description.
